Pussy Willow

Spring has finally sprung.  While walking Pixie and Pippin at Malden Park, as we do almost daily, all the signs of spring were there.

The Canada Goose population has begun to pair up and seek out their nesting spots and we will within weeks see fresh arrivals.

We have two daily visitors, black-capped chickadees, at our feeder.

The pussy willows have started blossoming at Malden.

What a beautiful spring day!  Lets do it again tomorrow!

Introducing Pixie

World, meet Pixie. Pixie is the newest addition to our pet-family. She is a Yorkie/Bichon mix, commonly known as a “borkie” or a “yo-chon.” She is 9 weeks old.

The photo above was captured in Windor’s Malden Park, where Sharon and Pixie were standing atop a small hill. The photo below was taken the same day at Ojibway Park.

For those who remember our Terri-poo, Tippy. Tippy passed on just after Christmas. Tippy lived to a ripe old age of 17 years.
